Murphy Bed deployed

Electric couch retracted
Our RV is a 2015 Pleasure-Way Plateau XLMB. It is a B+ , wider and taller than a van but smaller than a traditional C class. It is built on a Mercedes Benz extended Sprinter chassis with a six cylinder turbo diesel motor. It has no sleeping quarters over the cab as most C class RVs have. Pleasure-Way has made available an option to add inflatable mattress to enable a small person to sleep in the front using the bucket seats in a bench fashion. The coach is fiberglass construction with a one piece fiberglass roof cap and front and rear fiberglass caps that are bonded together (no screws, rivets or bolts). We selected this construction based on prior experience of fasteners and seam locations leaking. It has no slides but does have a Murphy bed. Our choice of no slide was based on prior experience. RVs we had in the past with slides were a constant maintenance and leak problem. If you are nomadic as opposed to semi stationary in your RV travels we found that slides do not thrive in a frequent deploy and retract environment.

Our unit has a full dry bath with a corian shower, a stainless steel sink, and a house hold size china toilet. Our choice for a dry bath, full sized shower and house hold size toilet was based on previous experience in RVs and travel trailers we owned.
Since we travel long distances for months at a time, space and convenience played a critical role in our vehicle selection. We wanted good mileage, minimal size to be able to fit in all State and Federal parks and adequate boon docking capabilities. We wanted a high quality of construction with top of the line (readily available) sub systems that required minimum maintenance. We wanted to be able to travel without towing another vehicle and to park and navigate with ease in urban areas. The RV had to be able to handle mountains with ease. The Plateau XLMB has met our expectations.
